“We initially met in the mid-1990s when Aleksandra was a student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. After she sent us a cassette of her work and David met her for coffee, we became friends and collaborators. Since then, she has written 16 works for Kronos. Our commercial recordings of her work include "... hold me, neighbor, in this storm..." on Floodplain, "Pannonia Boundless" on Caravan, "The Sea Ranch Songs," and "Bubbles" with the San Francisco Girls Chorus for their release Final Answer. Aleksandra also composed "My Desert, My Rose" for 50ForTheFuture: The Kronos Learning Repertoire, which you can download the score and parts for right now at:
